Job Description Job Description Job Title: Junior Buyer Location: Phoenix, AZ Position Summary: We are seeking a Junior Buyer to assist the Purchasing Lead in day-to-day functions, including purchasing and inventory support for various departments. Essential Functions: Prepare purchase orders in ERP, utilizing purchase requisitions, purchase suggestions, and other documentation, and provide approved purchase orders to suppliers. Contact vendors to confirm the status of orders. Confirm delivery schedules with suppliers and escalate when needed. Document and monitor supplier performance, maintaining a supplier discrepancy log for corrective action. Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with suppliers in accordance with company policy. Research suppliers to determine compliance with the Supplier Qualification checklist. Work with Inventory Control Specialist to resolve delivery, quality, and quantity discrepancies, working with suppliers to obtain credits, refunds, exchanges, or other resolutions. Maintain Supplier Maintenance in ERP, including supplier price lists, alternate suppliers, supplier part numbers, and other information pertinent to each vendor, etc. Assist in coordinating with Manufacturing and Operations, and recommend adjustments based on part availability and quantity price discounts. Obtain a minimum of 3 bids for review in accordance with company policy. Competencies: Organizational & Time Management Skills Communication Proficiency Financial Management Integrity Education & Experience: Associate’s degree preferred. 1 years of previous high-volume buying experience. Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
