Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Wolverhampton £38,000 - £42,000 Butler Rose Public Practice is excited to support our client in their search for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join and expand their existing team. Role Responsibilities : Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and business plans for a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies/LLPs. Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Provide tax and accounting advice, with support from the Client Manager. Mentor and support junior team members. Assist in the implementation of cloud-based software for clients, such as Xero and Dext. Support on ad hoc projects as required. Candidate Requirements : ACA/ACCA newly qualified or in the final stages of qualification. Solid experience in accountancy practice. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, statutory accounts, and management accounts. Good knowledge of corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, and VAT. Familiarity with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Dext, and Fathom. Intermediate Excel skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, and INDEX/MATCH functions.
