Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager

Butler Rose is working in partnership with a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in North Bedfordshire to recruit an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with strong audit and accounts experience to take the next step in their career. Reporting to the Partner, you'll manage a portfolio of clients while supporting and developing a growing team. Key responsibilities include: Managing a varied client portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of financial statements and tax returns Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities Leading audits from planning through to Partner sign-off, reviewing work and advising clients on internal controls Reviewing and supporting junior staff, allocating work and monitoring performance Assisting with complex VAT, tax returns, and tax planning tasks Developing client relationships and attending meetings to provide expert guidance About you : ACA or ACCA qualified Experienced in general practice, with a strong focus on both audit and accounts Excellent communication and organisational skills Able to manage your own workload and lead a team effectively Strong IT skills and attention to detail Willingness to travel to client sites when needed This is a brilliant chance to join a friendly and forward-thinking firm where your contribution will be truly valued.
