Job Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a System Integration Engineer to join its office in ROME OR LA SPEZIA within the Electronics and Systems Engineering Division. Mission The role focuses on Client's support to the integration of systems, ensuring that various subsystems function seamlessly together. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with hands-on experience in integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Key Accountabilities System/Subsystem Integration and Support: Contribute to drafting/updating technical documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues (i.e. non-conformities), providing technical support and solutions. Testing and Validation: Execute, and manage test plans for integrated systems, ensuring all subsystems perform as expected. Conduct validation tests to identify and address any issues, ensuring system reliability and compliance with project specifications. Documentation and Reporting: Review and integrate subsystem test and commissioning management plans into comprehensive system documentation. Regularly update and maintain System Performance Test documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate tests and trial run sessions, ensuring active participation from all relevant teams. Prepare and present detailed reports on system-level testing, following up on documentation and ensuring all stakeholders are informed. Education Master’s Degree in Engineering General Qualifications Knowledge and experience of the system engineering process: specification of requirements, definition of functional and physical architecture, flow-down of requirements to subsystems, development, integration and testing of complex systems, embedded SW, mission critical HW. Knowledge of international standards: MIL-STD-498, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461. Ability to address and deepen activities that require transversal knowledge. Electronic design, mechanical design. Physical and functional interfaces: serial, ethernet, discrete signals. Integration and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies. Ability to analyze and process data and represent them in a synthetic form (reports, metrics, ). Knowledge of Office suite applications. Preferential/rewarding elements during evaluation: Knowledge of at least one of the IBM Rational suite applications (i.e. DOORS, RPE, RTC); Knowledge of Military System Equipment Design.
