Rosemallow Technologies - Senior Linux Administrator - Load Balancing Tools

Role Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Linux administration, coupled with expertise in automation, networking, and security. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our critical Linux infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities : Linux Systems Administration : - Manage and maintain complex Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance. - Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching. - Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions. - Optimize system performance and resource utilization. Automation with Ansible : - Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for automating system configuration, deployment, and management. - Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to ensure consistency and repeatability. - Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Networking : - Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing, and load balancers. - Implement and maintain network security measures to protect critical systems and data. - Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Scripting : - Develop and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages for system automation, monitoring, and reporting. - Automate tasks related to system administration and network management. Monitoring and Alerting : - Configure and maintain monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to ensure system health and performance. - Develop and implement alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address potential issues. - Analyze monitoring data to identify trends and optimize system performance. Security : - Implement and enforce Linux security best practices. - Configure and manage firewalls and intrusion detection systems. - Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments. - Implement security policies and procedures. Cloud & Virtualization (Preferred) : - Contribute to the design and management of cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Manage virtualized environments using VMware or Kubernetes. - Integrate cloud based and on prem solutions. Required Skills : Experience : - Minimum 10 years of experience in Linux systems administration. Technical Skills : - Strong expertise in managing Linux-based environments. - Hands-on experience in writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and automating system tasks. - Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing, load balancers, and network security. - Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages. - Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus. - Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection, and Linux security best practices. Preferred Skills : - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Kubernetes.
