Technical Content Writer/Content Writer - API Documentation

Key Responsibilities : 1. Content Development : Write and edit technical documents, including product documentation, user guides, API documentation, white papers, and knowledge base articles. 2. Research and Collaboration : Collaborate with subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of products, technologies, and target audiences. 3. Simplifying Complex Information : Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content that is accessible to a variety of audiences. 4. Content Strategy and SEO (Not mandatory) : Work with the marketing team to align content with SEO strategies and broader content marketing goals. 5. Content Updates : Regularly update content to reflect new product features, industry trends, and feedback from users. 6. Proofreading and Editing : Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and tone, ensuring consistency and adherence to style guides. 7. Stay Current with Industry Trends : Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to improve content quality and relevance. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree or cource in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field. - 3 years of experience in technical content writing, preferably in the tech or software industry. - Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into reader-friendly content. - Strong knowledge of technical writing tools (e.g., Markdown, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word) and content management systems. - Excellent communication, research, and organizational skills. - Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices. Preferred Skills : - Experience with specific technical domains relevant to the company (e.g., cloud computing, DevOps, software development). - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or basic programming is a plus. - Portfolio of technical writing samples showcasing clarity, accuracy, and tone adaptation (ref:hirist.tech)
