Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing

Responsibilities : - Design and implement comprehensive automated testing strategies for various software applications. - Develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium and other relevant tools. - Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools and technologies. - Define and implement best practices for test automation. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (WebDriver, Grid) and programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Create and maintain reusable test libraries and utilities. - Implement data-driven and keyword-driven testing approaches. - Ensure test scripts are efficient, maintainable, and reliable. - Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). - Configure and manage test environments for automated testing. - Implement continuous testing practices to ensure rapid feedback and delivery. - Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop test plans. - Design and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. - Analyze test results and identify defects. - Generate and maintain test reports and metrics. - Log and track defects using defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla). - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects. - Participate in defect triage meetings. - Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. - Implement security testing practices to identify vulnerabilities. - Ensure applications meet performance and security requirements. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior SDETs. - Mentor and train team members on test automation best practices. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. - Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - - Communicate test results and metrics to stakeholders. - Maintain clear and concise documentation of automation frameworks and processes. Mandatory Skills and Expertise : - 9 years of experience in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium (WebDriver, Grid). - Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and best practices. - Experience with data-driven and keyword-driven testing. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript). - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). - Understanding of continuous testing practices. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques. - Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. - Experience using defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla). - Ability to analyze and report defects effectively. - Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). - Knowledge of security testing principles and practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Preferred Skills : - Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured). - Experience with mobile testing frameworks (Appium). - Knowledge of cloud testing platforms (AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs). - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Relevant certifications (ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer). Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 9 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role. - Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks. - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing processes. - Must be able to join within a reasonable timeframe.
