Azure SQL Server Engineer - Data Migration

Job Description : - Lead and execute database migration projects from on-premises environments to the Azure Cloud Platform, including both VM-based installations and Managed Instances. - Utilize your strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instances to ensure successful migrations. - Leverage your experience with Azure Data Services and Azure Data Migration tools to streamline the migration process. - Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. - Implement strategies to ensure high availability and security for Azure Databases in the cloud environment. - Perform critical database administration tasks, including backups, restores, archival, and disaster recovery (DR) operations. - Lead database-level performance tuning efforts and collaborate with development teams to optimize application-level performance through indexing and other techniques. - Configure API connections and implement data validation processes to ensure data integrity during and after migration. What you'll bring : - Experience : 5 to 12 years of experience in database migrations, specifically focusing on SQL Server to Azure. - Azure Migration Expertise : Proven experience with database migrations from on-premises to Azure Cloud Platform (VM Based installations or Managed instances). - SQL Server & Azure SQL Skills : Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instances. - Azure Data Services : Experience with Azure Data Services and Azure Data Migration tools. - Azure Data Factory : Experience with Azure Data Factory. - High Availability & Security : Experience in ensuring high availability and security in Azure Cloud environments for Azure Databases. - Database Administration : Experience performing Database backups, restore, Archival, and DR operations. - Performance Tuning : Experience with performing Database Level performance Tuning and collaborating with development teams for application-level optimization. - API & Data Validation : Experience with configuring API connections and implementing Data Validations.
