SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description : Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement complex ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW). - Develop and maintain custom ABAP objects to meet specific business requirements. - Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP coding standards and best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex ABAP issues. - Develop and maintain technical documentation. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Participate in the design and development of SAP solutions. - Collaborate with functional consultants to ensure seamless integration of ABAP solutions. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams. - Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of ABAP programs. - Provide post-implementation support and resolve production issues. - Assist in the development of test plans and test cases. - Perform debugging and performance tuning. - Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and provide solutions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates. - Work with Basis teams to ensure proper system performance. - Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and trends. - Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills. Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. - Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e., SD, MM, FI, CO, PP, etc.) - Proficiency in ABAP programming concepts, including : 1. Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV) 2. Interfaces (BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, Web Services) 3. Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework) 4. Forms (SAPscript, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms) 5. Workflows 6. OOPS ABAP. - Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus. - Experience with code performance tuning. Preferred Qualifications : - SAP Certification in ABAP Development. - Experience with SAP Cloud Platform. - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (ref:hirist.tech)
