Business Analyst - Investment Banking Risk Domain

Responsibilities : - Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders in the Investment Banking Risk domain. - Analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams. - Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions. - Leverage deep knowledge of Investment Banking Risk management practices and regulations. - Understand and analyze various risk types, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory risk. - Provide subject matter expertise on risk-related processes and systems. - Act as a techno-functional Business Analyst, bridging the gap between business and technology teams. - Understand and analyze technical architectures, data models, and system integrations. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements. - Utilize strong SQL skills to perform data analysis, data validation, and data extraction. - Develop and execute complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data. - Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. - Manage and prioritize project tasks and deliverables. - Ensure timely and accurate delivery of project artifacts. - Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues. - Contribute to project planning and estimation. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. - Conduct regular client meetings and provide status updates. - Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction. - Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Utilize JIRA or Rally to manage user stories, tasks, and defects. - Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure successful sprint delivery. - Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, and user manuals. - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Conduct presentations and workshops to share knowledge and insights. Requirements : - Proven project experience in the Investment Banking Risk domain. - Strong understanding of risk management processes and regulations. - Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries. - Experience with data analysis and data manipulation. - Understanding of technical architectures and system integrations. - Ability to gather and analyze business requirements. - Experience in creating functional specifications and user stories. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work with minimal supervision. - Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. - Experience working with multiple key stakeholders. - Exposure to working in an Agile methodology. - Experience using JIRA or Rally for Agile project management.
