TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101 Pay Information $2,236 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Yes, willing to wait Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Strong knowledge in Med Surg, Infectious Diseases, Isolation precautions Job Description: - Work on a 18-bed Med Surg/Infectious Disease unit with all private rooms. - Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6; 1:4 for COVID patients, with typical staffing of 3-4 RNs per shift. - Handle a variety of infectious disease diagnoses, including COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and more. - Utilize Cpap, BiPap, or High flow devices as managed by RT; no vent management required. - No requirements for RNs to titrate cardiac drips. - Administer Heparin and other typical Med Surg IV medications, antibiotics. - Work under a Charge Nurse who is present 24/7; night charge takes full patient assignments. - Supported by 2 CNAs per shift. - No requirement to read or interpret tele strips; remote tele monitoring in place. - Follow a weekend schedule of every-other-weekend, with shifts defined as Fri/Sat/Sun for nights. - Holiday shifts contingent on unit needs; flexibility required. - May be floated to any Med Surg units, or Tele with appropriate skillset assignments. - Self-scheduling for permanent staff; travelers assigned based on unit needs with block scheduling allowed. - Dress code requires royal blue scrubs; if worn, jackets must be scrub-style and royal blue. - Participate in 1 day of EPIC orientation, 1 day on-floor orientation with a preceptor, and then work independently on the 3rd day. - Utilizes EPIC charting system. - Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment. 27386770EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
