TECEZE - Middleware Subject Matter Expert - System Administration

Job Description : Preferred experience 8-12 years (L3 Support). We are seeking a knowledgeable Middleware Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the architecture, deployment, and management of our middleware technologies. As a Middleware operations SME, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's application ecosystem by providing operational support, ensuring system stability, and working closely with development, infrastructure and security teams to ensure smooth operations of middleware component. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize integrations, resolve issues, and provide guidance on middleware best practices. - Lead the design and architecture of middleware solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements. - Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to create reliable and scalable middleware architectures. - Develop documentation, architectural diagrams, and best practice guidelines. - Implement automation scripts for deployment, configuration management, and monitoring using tools like Ansible or Puppet. - Middleware Administrator supports and documents the installation, configuration, capacity planning, upgrading, problem resolution and debugging of all middleware product environments. - Coordinates environment configuration activities to ensure integration and alignment with other IT technology, processes, systems, applications, and environments. - Document middleware platforms and related infrastructure as directed with respect to functionality, maintenance and administration. - Install and configure server operating systems, enterprise software and middleware services, including settings, directories, storage, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements m. - Provides technical support and guidance (level 3) to end-users, and other IT resources. - Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and be a good team player. Responsibilities : - Collaborate on definition of infrastructure standards and contribute to the overall architecture roadmap. - Collaborates on technical design and provides consulting including identification and documentation of requirements and design. - Collaborates in the installation, configuration and upgrading of enterprise application software, customizing soft tables and program parameters and managing associated environments. - Recommend and lead improvements to provide the highest level of availability and performance. - Provide proactive support to maintain high availability and reliability of middleware systems. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve middleware-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, application errors, and connectivity issues. - Manage middleware patches, upgrades, and security configurations in line with best practices. - Follows policies and procedures to ensure corporate compliance, examples include corporate data security and change control. - Coordinate with engineering, solution vendors and support teams on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades. Must have Skills for Middleware Administrator : - Minimum of 5 years of experience in middleware administration, with expertise in platforms like Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss, WebLogic,. - Proven experience in middleware architecture and design for large-scale environments. - Extensive knowledge on Apache Tomcat / Apache HTTPD / Nginx / IIS / Oracle Weblogic / Oracle Httpd server. - Unix / Linux & Windows operating systems, Shell scripting, Networking concepts, Perl scripting. - Experience in DevOps Open Source Middleware technologies/tools and automation development will be an advantage. - Work closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure seamless application integration and performance. - Provide training and mentorship to team members on middleware administration, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. - Keep up-to-date with middleware technologies, trends, and advancements, applying them where beneficial. Skills will be considered as added advantages : - Knowledge on Messaging queue services like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ. - Knowledge on Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions. - LDAP tools like Open LDAP, IBM LDAP. - Knowledge on Microfocus Enterprise server for Mainframe application deployments. - Cache tools like Memcached, Redis.
