Technical Consultant - Cyber Security

Position : Technical Consultant Experience : 2 Years Location : Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore Work Mode : On-site (5 days a week) Key Skills : Imperva, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) Job Description : We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Consultant with over 2 years of experience in security technologies, particularly with Imperva WAF and DAM solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining security tools to protect enterprise systems and data. Key Responsibilities : Pre-sales Support : - Work alongside the sales team to understand client requirements and propose tailored Imperva WAF & DAM solutions. - Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs). - Articulate the value proposition of Imperva's security solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solution Design & Architecture : - Design and propose architectures for deploying Imperva WAF and DAM. - Collaborate with customer security and infrastructure teams for smooth integration. Customer Engagement : - Address technical queries and objections during the sales cycle. - Provide technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires. Post-Sales Handoff : - Assist in smooth transition of closed deals to delivery/support teams with all necessary documentation. Market Intelligence & Enablement : - Stay updated with the latest developments in cybersecurity and data protection. - Act as a feedback loop to product and engineering teams on customer needs. Required Skills and Qualifications : - 4 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre-sales Consultant, or Solutions Architect in the cybersecurity or networking domain. - Hands-on experience with Imperva WAF (on-prem and/or cloud-based) and Imperva DAM. Strong understanding of : - Web application security (OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation, bot protection) - Database security, audit, and compliance (PCI, GDPR, HIPAA) - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously. - Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and working with channel partners. Preferred Qualifications : - Imperva certifications (e.g., Imperva Certified Technical Specialist) - Familiarity with other security technologies (SIEMs, firewalls, endpoint protection) - Experience in industries like BFSI, healthcare, or government (ref:hirist.tech)
