Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become a part of our team located in Fruitville, FL. The perfect candidate will showcase their skills in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. Emphasizing safety and productivity are crucial factors for excelling in this position.

$25 - $35 hourly

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment through regular maintenance and repair procedures
• Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure smooth operation of various heavy machinery
• Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks
• Replace or repair faulty parts and components as necessary to maintain equipment functionality
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities performed
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations while carrying out maintenance tasks

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
• The ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
