Data Warehousing Engineer

Job Description : Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data warehouse solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and/or traditional RDBMS systems. - Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing cloud-based data warehousing services and tools offered by Azure and/or AWS. This includes experience with services like Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Redshift, or similar technologies. - Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and best practices. - Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable ETL processes using industry-standard tools. - Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica PowerCenter, or similar is highly desirable. - Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading, as well as for data analysis and reporting. - Optimize SQL queries for performance. - Work with various data storage formats (e., relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes) and file types (e., CSV, JSON, Parquet). - Manage relational databases, including tasks such as performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management. - Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity. - Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Identify and resolve data-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and ETL failures. - Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data warehouse designs, ETL processes, and other related tasks. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing and cloud computing. Required Skills and Experience : - 7-8 years of experience in data warehousing. - Strong knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms, specifically Azure and/or AWS. - Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and data modeling techniques. - Extensive experience with ETL tools and processes. - Excellent SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance. - Experience working with different data storage formats and file types. - Proficiency in database management and data operations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills : - Experience with data visualization tools (e., Power BI, Tableau). - Knowledge of scripting languages (e., Python). - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (ref:hirist.tech)
