Senior Oracle Retail System Developer - PL-SQL/Java/Unix

Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions using PL/SQL, Java, Unix shell scripting, and Oracle Forms and Reports. - Provide application support and maintenance across different Oracle retail system modules. - Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and create comprehensive High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents. - Write and execute unit test cases to ensure the integrity of all developed components. - Work closely with Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance, data accuracy, and integrity. - Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely completion of development tasks, meeting project deadlines and quality standards. - Utilize job schedulers for task automation and to ensure timely execution of processes. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills when resolving complex issues in retail systems. - Implement and maintain version control practices using tools like TFS, SVN, Git, and Bitbucket. - Contribute to software configuration management processes. - Apply your retail domain knowledge to integrate multiple applications within the retail ecosystem. Desired Skills : - AWS Cloud knowledge and familiarity with Jenkins is a plus. - Experience working with Git for version control and familiarity with CI/CD processes. Must-Have Qualifications : - 4-5 years of hands-on experience in IT, with strong expertise in PL/SQL, Java, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle Forms & Reports, and Oracle retail systems. - Proficiency in Oracle Retail Systems and knowledge of their integration with other applications. - Strong experience with Software Configuration Management using TFS, SVN, Git, and Bitbucket. - Proven experience in Requirement Gathering, analysis, and the ability to develop HLD and LLD documents. - Expertise in working with Oracle databases and ensuring high performance and reliability. - Experience with job scheduling and task automation. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks effectively (ref:hirist.tech)
