Head of Group Reporting

This role sits at the heart of the finance function, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and interacting regularly with the Group CFO and executive leadership. Operating across multiple segments, they generate near £2bn in annual revenue and play a critical role in their industries. With a highly centralised finance team of 160 professionals, they are committed to driving excellence in financial reporting, controls, and strategy. Description Lead and develop a team of seven accountants, managing workload, performance, and career growth. Own the external financial reporting process, including interim and full-year reports. Prepare and present reports to the Audit Committee. Manage the relationship with external auditors and oversee the statutory accounts process. Act as a centre of excellence for technical accounting matters, including IFRS 16 and fixed asset reporting. Drive process and control improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency. Support investor relations and capital markets activities. Develop and maintain group accounting policies. Profile ACA-qualified, ideally with Big 4 experience. Proven track record in a PLC financial reporting environment. Strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on experience in consolidation tools. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development. Ability to communicate complex financial matters to senior stakeholders.
