We are offering an exciting opportunity for young people as part of our Home Support Service providing a person-centred care approach to individuals living in North Lanarkshire. As part of this 12-month modern apprenticeship, you’ll undertake a SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare, whilst working as part of the Home Support team, you will use a reablement approach, working closely alongside individuals and their families, to focus on promoting and maximising independence, self-management and natural resources. You will enable individuals to gain or regain their confidence, ability and necessary skills whilst living in their home environment, encompassing natural supports. What do I need? You don’t need to have any previous experience although you should have English and at least three other National 5 level qualification at a Band A - C. Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant Foundation Apprenticeship will also be considered. We look for Apprentices who can help us deliver our exciting ambition and plans for North Lanarkshire. During the selection process we’ll look for you to demonstrate the key strengths we know you’ll need to be successful; ambition, determination, adaptability, personality, ownership, be pro-active and show willingness to learn. In accordance with Government Guidelines, you’ll need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or if you are disabled or care experienced, you’ll need to be aged between 16-29 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship). You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
