Package and Benefits: The Diabetes Nurse will benefit from: Annual salary up to £44,000 Annual bonus incentive scheme Car allowance - £5,400 Company pension Private medical insurance Daily lunch allowance when in practice NMC/RCN fees reimbursed Monthly broadband contribution Progression pathway for career development The Diabetes Nurse will: Deliver high-quality care to improve patient outcomes in line with Diabetes guidelines Identify and optimise care for patients with sub-optimally controlled Type 2 diabetes Conduct point of care testing and refer for specialist insulin treatment as needed Provide education, support, and advice to patients with Type 2 Diabetes Fulfil corporate nursing responsibilities and contribute to a proactive care approach The ideal Diabetes Nurse will have: A Diabetes diploma or equivalent EN qualification At least 3 years of post-registration experience managing diabetes in primary care Strong knowledge and confidence in providing education and advice to Type 2 Diabetes patients Skills in optimising oral hypoglycaemics A full driving licence and current NMC registration IT literacy, including primary care systems If you're a Diabetes Nurse, Diabetes Nurse Advisor, Diabetes Educator, Endocrinology Nurse, or Diabetes Care Specialist, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
