Chiller/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Engineer

This position is for an experienced and qualified Chiller/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Mobile Service Engineer. At the minimum you would have F-Gas Qualification, preferred would be C&G or NVQ in air conditioning/refrigeration. Chiller/refrigeration experience is a must and a driving licence. Barrier Air Conditioning Limited is family business trading for over 40 years and employing 25 staff. We have trained most of our engineers as apprentices in-house and we are proud to have very little staff or client turnover. We work mainly with commercial clients, on planned preventative maintenance contracts. At the BESA industry awards on in October 2024, Barrier Air Conditioning won the Competence and Compliance Award - this shows our commitment to professionalism and compliance within the industry. We are looking to employ an experienced Chiller/Refrigeration Engineer/Technician. We would expect the engineer applying to have at least 3 years’ experience in the relevant position. Most of our sites are located in Kent, London and Home Counties. We are looking for engineers of a high standard, and our rates of pay are reflective of that. The Chiller/Refrigeration Engineer would be working on Chillers, Refrigeration Systems, Close Control Systems, as well as some higher-level technical requirements on Splits, Multi Splits, VRV/VRF, and Ventilation equipment. We work on a small amount of Altherma/Ecodan and experience on that would be preferred but not required. The works would entail Planned Preventative Maintenance, Callouts and Repairs. Must be able to complete all levels of repairs - Pressure Leak Tests, Compressor Replacements etc. Must also be competent at correctly diagnosing faults. We have a great team and some great long-term clients, some of which go back 35 years.
