Sr. Accountant

Job Description Job Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in Northern Idaho. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in setting up systems for our international expansion and ensuring smooth financial operations. This role could become long term for the right individual. Responsibilities: • Assisting in the establishment of a new entity in other countries including the incorporation process and necessary documentation. • Implementing and managing systems for overseas operations, ensuring compliance with international financial regulations. • Conducting account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. • Serving as backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, maintaining continuity in financial processes. • Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accurate representation of financial transactions. • Managing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reconciled. • Employing Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting purpose. • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, capable of identifying and correcting errors to maintain financial integrity. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, adept at verifying and comparing records to prevent financial losses. • Strong understanding of General Ledger management, able to maintain and update financial data efficiently. • Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to use advanced features for data analysis and reporting. • Experience in handling Month End Close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
