Senior Internal Auditor

We are delighted to be supporting a global engineering business with the recruitment of a Senior Internal Auditor. Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, the successful applicant will be responsible for completing internal audit activities consistent with the standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Senior Internal Auditor – Responsibilities Identify business objectives, risks and evaluate key controls. Assist in the design and execution of operational audits to ensure adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment, compliance with company policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Develop preliminary findings and realistic recommendations to improve / enhance the internal control environment. Prepare accurate, logical, and detailed workpapers clearly describing the work performed, test results and conclusions reached. Assist in testing the effectiveness of the Company’s DoC control framework and work with management to ensure remediation is implemented for deficiencies identified. Senior Internal Auditor – Required Full qualification ACA, CIA or ACCA is highly desirable. Demonstrable experience of audit, risk and control experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Senior Internal Auditor – Benefits £4,500 car allowance. 10% Bonus. 5% Pension. 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Hybrid working (3 days per week WFH).
