Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A with alternating weekends Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: MEDITECH experience preferred Job Description: - Responsible for delivering the highest standard of patient care. - Provide care for patients requiring intermediate-level nursing care post-surgery or significant medical events. - Manage and monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status with the help of specific equipment. - Perform procedures such as peripheral IV starts and Foley or NGT insertions. - Ensure all documentation is completed using the Meditech system. - Maintain professional appearance according to dress code: Navy-colored scrubs with navy or white scrub jacket. - Practice exemplary communication skills to address patient needs and liaise with healthcare teams. - Adhere to standards regarding personal grooming, including clean and neatly trimmed hair and facial hair, and covering visible body art when feasible. - Willingness to float between units as required, following established floating guidelines. - Maintain a level of readiness for potential weekend rotations, as per scheduling requirements.
