Sales Engineer

Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive / Technical Advisor / Applications Engineer / Sales Engineer required to join a manufacturer based in Towcester, Northamptonshire. The Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive / Applications Engineer / Sales Engineer will be supporting the external sales team with technical quotations, product support and liaising with customers. The successful Internal Sales Engineer must have previous internal sales / customer facing experience within an engineering / technical product range relating to mechanical or electrical engineering. Package £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension Income protection Private healthcare after probation Role Create and issue technical quotations, provide product support on electrical / mechanical products and liaising with customers. Give technical advice and guidance on correct product selection as per customers’ needs Generate & provide quotations & proposals to customers Providing solutions into a broad variety of OEM market sectors to include Automation, Process/Packaging, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Oil & Gas. Provide technical / commercial back-up to Area Sales Managers (customer facing when required) Identify and pursue commercial opportunities Generate new leads through proactive targeting of new markets/industries Liaise with various engineering departments and supporting the field sales team Commutable to office in Towcester, NorthamptonshireRequirements Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive / Technical Advisor / or similar technical sales / engineering sales experience An engineering qualification would be advantageous either in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering Exposure working with OEM market sectors to include Automation, Process/Packaging, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Oil & Gas would be beneficial Exposure in a commercial, technical sales, customer facing, customer service or technical advisor / support role would be advantageous Commutable to office in Towcester, Northamptonshire
