Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Remote/Hybrid Options Industry: Logistics / Freight Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 plus OTE & benefits JS3 Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing company within the logistics, freight forwarding sector, that’s looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manage r to join their dynamic team. The Rol e:As a Business Development Manag er, you will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, fostering strong relationships with clients, and executing sales strategies that meet key targets. You’ll be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to refining business strategies that support long-term succes s. Key Responsibiliti es:Client Relationship Managem ent: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both current and potential clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutio ns.Networking & Industry Engagem ent: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to grow your professional network and stay ahead of market trends and competitor activiti es.Sales Execut ion: Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to drive revenue growth by engaging with new clients and expanding existing relationshi ps.Market Insights & Resea rch: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities, competitive advantages, and potential areas for expansion. Share your findings with leadership to refine business strategi es.Proposal Developm ent: Lead the creation of compelling business proposals and sales presentations, ensuring alignment with client needs and showcasing the company’s val ue.Performance Monitor ing: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report regularly on the effectiveness of business development strategies, adjusting tactics as needed to meet targe ts.Cross-Functional Collaborat ion: Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to align efforts and ensure successful execution of business development pla ns.Lead Generation & Prospect ing: Take a proactive approach to generate new business leads through market analysis, prospecting, and networki ng.Essential Attribut es:Minimum of 2 years experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, within logistics and freig ht.Results-dri ven with a passion for success and a hands-on approach to achieving goa ls.High ly self-motiva ted with the ability to work independently and manage multiple prioriti es.Excelle nt time managem ent and organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environme nt.Flexible and adaptable with the ability to quickly respond to changes in the market or business nee ds.Key Skil ls:Stro ng sa les a nd negotiat ion abilities to close deals effective ly.Exception al communicat ion a nd relationship-build ing skills, both internally and external ly.Analytical with a strategic mind set to identify opportunities and drive business developme nt.Proficiency in CRM softw are a nd Microsoft Office Su ite (Word, Excel, PowerPoin t).What’s On Off er:Competitive sal ary with performance-based incentiv es .A collaborat ive a nd innovative work cult ure that fosters growth and creativi ty.Opportunities for career developm ent and the chance to grow within a dynamic, forward-thinking compa ny.
