ROLESUMMARY TheLeadEngineerisresponsibleforleadershipofthesubsystemengineersandisresponsiblefordeliverablesforallaspectsofdefinedcomponents/systems:BIW,closures,structures. Therolerequiresbeingonsiteatthecustomer'slocation3daysaweek. AREAOFRESPONSIBILITY Thispositionisresponsibleforestablishing,planningandrunningtheengineeringsubsystemmeetingstoensureappropriatecrossfunctionalrepresentationandinputfromallrelevantareas.Youwillhaveresponsibilityfor: EnsureprogressionofdesignmaturityfrominitialconceptthroughtoEngineeringSign-Offanddesigngateways Establishingandmaintaintheteamworkplanalignedtovehicleprogram Ensuresub-systemmeetsCostandweightTargets EnsureRegulatorycomplianceofSubsystem. Defineappropriatesystem-levelengineeringtargetstomeetfunction,qualityandattributerequirementsoftheVehicleProgram Developandmaintainthedesignvalidationplan(DVP)includingbothin-houseandsuppliertestingplanandensuredevelopmentsignofftestsarecompletedonschedule. TroubleshootandresolveallValidationissues. DevelopSystemDesignSpecificationsincorporatingengineeringstandards,testproceduresandmaterialspecifications. LeadFailureModeAvoidanceactivitiesincludingDFMEA,qualityhistoryreviewsdevelopmenttests. EnsuringallrelevantdocumentationasperISO&qualitystandards. Leadtheresolutionofdesign,attributeorpackagingincompatibilitiesthroughtheappropriate cross-functionalmeetings. SupportPurchasingteaminSourcingandRFQactivities.
