Job Description
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (Ref. No. 340) Honours Degree in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying or equivalent NQF level 8 Minimum 3-year undergraduate qualification in the built environment. At least 2 years of teaching/tutoring/industry experience with built environment software; WinQS, CCS, MS Projects, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit. Additional Recommendations Good communication and lecturing skills. A strong passion for technology, teaching, and research. Experience with BIM. Proof of 2 years of teaching, tutoring, or practical experience at a higher education or private institution. Experience with OHS and procurement practices. Summary of Duties Teaching laboratory software at all levels. The development of technological learning materials. The successful candidate is expected to be actively involved in technological research development in the department. Oversee the operations of the computer and practical laboratory, in maintaining existing infrastructure, software, hardware, and computing. Assist with departmental, administrative, and other duties as the Head of Department prescribes. Contact Person: PF.
