Senior IBM API Connect Developer

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced IBM API Connect Admin and Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining API solutions using IBM API Connect. This role will require a combination of API design and development, as well as administration and configuration of the IBM API Connect platform. Role & Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect, adhering to best practices and industry standards. - Lead the full API lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Configure and manage API Connect components, including API Manager, Developer Portal, and Gateway. - Implement API security measures, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting. - Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, architects, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver API solutions. - Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications. - Optimize API performance and scalability. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in API technologies and IBM API Connect. - Mentor and guide junior developers on API Connect best practices. What you'll bring : - Extensive experience in API development and integration. - Deep expertise in IBM API Connect platform (v10 preferred). - Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. - Proficiency in API security concepts and implementation (OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.). - Experience with API gateway concepts and technologies. - Solid understanding of JSON and XML data formats. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
