Job Description

Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Flexibility required as needed

SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Coordinator for our C-CAT Program. The C-CAT Program provides suicide prevention and postvention services which includes developing and delivering in-person and virtual workshops to various audiences including youth, parents, and professionals in a variety of venues across Long Island. Suicide postvention and crisis response services are provided in-person to schools, families, and businesses as soon as possible. Travel is required.

LMSW - $63,000

LMSW Bilingual in Spanish - $65,000

LCSW - $66,000

LCSW Bilingual in Spanish - $68,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Coordinator will provide suicide prevention presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Conduct outreach with schools and community organizations to schedule presentations.
  • The Coordinator will conduct in-home and community-based sessions with families who lost a loved one to suicide as requested by clients (i.e., evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Conduct in-home and community-based debriefings with groups impacted by critical incidents.
  • The Coordinator will provide crisis intervention and referrals, as needed.
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments for all impacted clients.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology required.

Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, or Psychology License required.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with people impacted by trauma required.

Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills required.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.

Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License required.

Travel to client homes and other community-based settings required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting for long periods of time and traveling to conduct home visits.
