Tax Manager

I am currently partnering with one of my close, International Law Firm clients on the recruitment of a Tax Manager. This role sits within their partnership Tax team and it's a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step up and develop their experience. Key Responsibilities: To provide a UK tax compliance and advisory service to the partners Day to day management of a personal tax service including organising tax payments to HMRC Prepare regular technical updates to partners Dealing with HMRC enquiries into partners' tax affairs Preparation of the partners' tax returns Preparation of the partnership tax return Collate information and arrange for tax releases in respect of pension contributions and other tax reliefs Discussions with newly appointed partners and meetings/explanations for retiring partners. Assisting the Global Mobility team with ongoing tax advice and the preparation of the UK tax returns for all secondees. Day to day management of and training junior members of the team Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team, including tax returns, correspondence and day to day technical matters Ad hoc projects, which are wide ranging given the small size of the team and cover all the tax affairs of the firm and partners Key requirements: Fully qualified ATT and CTA professional 4/5 years of partnership and personal tax experience, within Legal/Accountancy Practice. Good communication skills as you will be dealing with stakeholders of the firm and HMRC Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to the partners and the firm You will have strong experience of working within personal tax and be willing to expand your competencies Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail with methodical and logical approach Good working knowledge of Excel If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
