Occupational Health and Safety Officer

Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate National Diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent SAMTRAC or OHSA certification 3 years experience in a Health & Safety environment (preferably in construction or heavy machinery) Strong knowledge of OHS legislation, risk assessment, and ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Experience in crane safety, lifting operations, and emergency evacuation procedures Key Responsibilities: Implement and enforce safety regulations for crane operations and lifting procedures Conduct risk assessments on heavy machinery and material handling Ensure compliance with construction and engineering OHS regulations Investigate workplace incidents and recommend safety improvements Coordinate emergency response plans and evacuation drills Oversee operator safety training and site inspections This role is crucial in minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment in a high-risk industry.
