Product Specialist

Location: Initially remote (work-from-home) a reliable internet connection is essential. The role will transition to an office-based position in Tzaneen once premises are secured. Industry Advantage: Prior experience in the agriculture sector, particularly the fruit industry, is a significant advantage. Our client is seeking a Product Specialist to join their team. This is a support-focused role servicing clients in the agriculture industry and reporting to the IT & Support Manager . As part of the onboarding process, the successful candidate will travel to Cape Town for two weeks of initial job training . Key Responsibilities Provide remote and onsite support for bespoke software products. Manage daily operations and administration within SQL-rich environments (including scripting and database management). Act as the primary liaison between external customers and internal stakeholders. Take full ownership of assigned help desk calls, ensuring effective troubleshooting, inter-departmental coordination , and adherence to escalation procedures. Ensure timely and accurate help desk administration: Logging, updating, tracking, and escalating calls as necessary. Conduct ad hoc software testing before releasing updates to clients. Assist with product installations, upgrades, and deployments. Train clients on various software solutions as required.
