Engineering Manager

Aqunion (Pty) Ltd, a member of the Sea Harvest Group, is a dynamic, growing company that farms South African abalone for the Asian market. The company currently has three farms and a processing facility in the Overberg Region. JOB PURPOSE : To contribute toward operational excellence and optimal productivity by providing an engineering support base which is 100% supportive of operational activities across sites. LOCATION: Gansbaai, Western Cape. The position will be required to service multiple sites including in Gansbaai, Hermanus, Buffeljags. Therefore, the incumbent must be willing to reside in close proximity to our business units. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Strategic planning and governance; Line Management; Financial Management; Risk Management; Quantum improvement; Transformation, social responsibility and values; Health and Safety. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BEng or BEngTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Government Competency Certificate is preferred); 5 years experience in a Management position within Engineering. Expertise/knowledge in Aquaculture or Agriculture sector will be beneficial; Sound knowledge of OHS standards and Environmental Regulations; Good written and oral communication skills with fluency in English and ability to write professional reports; Sound computer literacy skills (intermediate to advanced) and tech-savvy; 24/7 availability is essential; Contactable references.
