Senior Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a dynamic Senior Design Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible to work on all development phases from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. Including the management of small design groups. The goal is to design and assist in fabrication and assembly of mechanical components of innovation and excellence. Experience Experienced engineers with 5 years of experience will be considered as senior engineers. Previous experience in the military vehicle design environment would be greatly advantageous. Liaison with other departments across the Value Chain and baselines to co-ordinate progress and influence on various stages of the development. Help develop PM strategy, processes and procedures, in line with department and company strategies and procedures. Qualifications (Post-) Graduate degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering, or o N-Dip in Mechanical/ Design Engineering, or B-Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering Other relevant certificates will be advantageous. Skills required Analytical Thinking Problem Solving Skills Ability to work under pressure Experience with PMBoK (preferred), or similar Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Onshape, NX12 (Unigraphics) preferred or relevant CAD package Microsoft Office A team player who is willing to assist the team on various aspects of the project, if required. o Innovative thinker. Ability to rapidly adapt to a changing environment and requirements. Passionate, self-driven individual.
