An exciting role exists for a Procurement Specialist - Packaging within National Brands Limited. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the continuous service and supply of commodity packaging materials. This is an operational role within the Procurement Department with significant impact on process efficiency, operational excellence deliverables, sustainability of our supply chain, as well as driving procurement and company culture and values. This role will be based in Bryanston. Line Manager : Procurement Manager Packaging Job Specification: Key Performance Areas: Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring Manage commodity suppliers in terms of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), quality, service, innovation, and continuity of supply for the portfolio Spend analytics, reports and system management Monitor supply market analysing market trends to identify supply risks, opportunities and roll out the appropriate sourcing plan as per packaging procurement directive Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements Minimum Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience as Procurement Specialist in packaging Qualifications: A minimum of a completed bachelors degree in related field with specific focus on Supply Chain / Finance / Commerce / Procurement / Engineering Additional Requirements: Advanced MS Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word SAP experience is advantageous Spend System Management and Reporting skills Project management skills Business acumen to drive business performance Strong negotiation skills Relationship management Data analysis skills Ability to travel locally and regionally
