Industry: Automotive Location: Isando, Johannesburg Salary: Basic: R50k R55k pm Benefits: Company Car, Company Cell phone, Leave (15 day), Fuel, Company contribution towards medical aid 50%, Company contribution towards Provident fund 9% Introduction The Group Accountant is responsible for consolidating financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the group's financial planning and reporting process. The role involves working closely with subsidiaries, managing intercompany transactions, and providing financial insights to senior management at a group level. Desired Experience & Qualification: Qualified CA. A minimum of 3 years experience as a group Accountant. Experience in group financial reporting and consolidations. Minimum requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Valid, unendorsed drivers license. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting. Advanced excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems. Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing. Prepare/Review and reconcile balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions and eliminations. Assist with preparing statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors. Prepare monthly flash and management pack. Support the FM in running the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Provide variance analysis and financial performance insights. Assist in cash flow forecasting and treasury management. Ensure adherence to financial policies, processes and procedures. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain strong internal controls across the group. Monitor tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing) in collaboration with tax advisors. Work closely with subsidiaries and the business department to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting. Support senior management with financial analysis for decision-making. Provide financial support for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities. Enhance financial reporting processes and automation. Assist with ERP/system implementations and upgrades. Drive efficiencies in financial operations.
