The establishment is seeking an Executive Head Chef to lead its culinary team, ensuring that the dining experience matches the lodges high standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of all kitchen sections, a passion for creating high-quality cuisine, and a strong understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene practices. Essential skills include leadership, organization, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire and train a team. This role is an opportunity to craft exceptional menus that reflect the essence of the lodges setting, delivering unforgettable gastronomic experiences in a truly remarkable location. Candidate requirements: Formal culinary qualification Minimum of 2-5 years in a Senior role within a fine dining Kitchen Menu development, planning and costing experience The ability to train and lead a team of staff Excellent stock control capabilities Excellent health, safety and food hygiene knowledge and the ability to implement and maintain these standards Department-related administrative capabilities including staff rosters, budgeting and financial planning The ability to plan and manage ordering as well as stock levels Staff management Excellent time-management and organizational skills Great interpersonal skills with staff and guests alike Competitive salary on offer, live-in with full board, medical aid and provident fund contribution. 3 week on, 1 week off cycle
