TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield, Illinois, 62781 Pay Information $2,290 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Oncology/Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensating for the canceled hours. Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have an active IL license in hand or be in the application process to apply Certifications: Chemo certification preferred; OCN and ONS/ONCC preferred Must-Have: Administration of chemotherapy skills; various IV therapy/infusion skills Job Description: - Work in a level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital - Care for patients in an oncology unit with an average daily census of 24 - Handle chemotherapy administration, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, continuous infusion, and IV push - Manage and dispose of cytotoxic spills, monitor chemotherapy, and recognize/communicate abnormal lab values - Perform IV therapy/infusion tasks like accessing ports, administering coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, and blood/blood products - Care for and manage ports, central line blood draws, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, and starting IVs - Participate in a flexible schedule, including working every other weekend - Be open to block scheduling discussions with the manager - Float within the hospital or nearby affiliated hospitals as needed - Work with Cerner charting system Additional Information: - First-timers accepted - Will work two out of three major holidays - Required flu vaccine with medical/religious exemptions only - Complete orientation modules virtually on the first day by the end of the day, then annually - Orientation includes 16 non-billable hours 27057420EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing A diverse portfolio of experiences adds depth to your professional profile.
