Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT Job Title: Respiratory Therapist I Location: 100 Michigan St, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Hours Per Week: 36 hours Hours Per Day: 12 hours Shift: Day Shift from 0630 to 1900 Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Duration: 13 Weeks Note: Local Accepted at Different Rates. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist I to join our team. This position requires the candidate to provide respiratory care to patients, particularly in an adult ICU setting. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for the assessment, management, and treatment of respiratory conditions, ensuring quality care for all patients. Key Responsibilities: Provide respiratory care to adult patients in the ICU. Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators, including Hamilton ventilators. Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and aerosol medications. Monitor patient’s vital signs and respiratory status, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing and implementing respiratory care plans. Document patient care and treatment provided according to hospital policies and procedures. Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and devices.
