Systems Architect

Qualifications & Experience: Formal qualification in IT/IS (e.g., BCom Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Science) is preferable. At least 4 years of broad technical experience, with extensive depth in one or more discipline (preferably Microsoft technologies). At least 1 year of experience in solution analysis and architectural design. Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in software development methodologies, such as Agile. Knowledge of the insurance industry. Strong facilitation skills. English language proficiency (written and spoken). Experience with UML modelling and integration technologies (e.g., REST/JSON/Web Services). Familiarity with enabling technologies and trends (e.g., Microservices, ECM, BPM, BRM, ESB, BI). Understanding of Cloud computing environments. Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF/Zachman. Key Responsibilities Include: Developing and maintaining information systems domain architectures and designs for specific business functional/technical areas. Providing high-level roadmaps for the implementation of solutions. Ensuring the alignment of technology architectural domains (functional, platform, application, information and data, security, and integration architecture) with business outcomes and strategic objectives. Overseeing the creation, optimization, and maintenance of system architecture. Managing architectural constraints and deviations, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. Collaborating with business and technology teams to guide the evolution of system solutions. Conducting technical workshops and driving the adoption of reference architectural artifacts.
