Node.js Developer - AWS/Azure

Job Title : Software Engineer IV (Contract to Hire - 6 Months) Experience : 8 Years Location : Bangalore (Hybrid - 3-4 days per month in the office) About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer IV for a Contract to Hire position (6 months). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in NodeJS development, cloud technologies (AWS or Azure), and MongoDB. As a senior member of the team, you may also be required to manage and mentor 1-2 junior engineers. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance applications using Node.js. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. - Leverage AWS or Azure cloud platforms for application deployment and maintenance. - Work with MongoDB to design, optimize, and manage databases. - Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality. - Provide leadership and mentorship to 1-2 junior engineers, guiding them technically and ensuring that project milestones are achieved. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing codebases to improve performance and reliability. - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and integrate them where applicable. - Participate in Agile processes like sprint planning, daily standups, and Skills & Qualifications : - Proven experience (8 years) with NodeJS development, particularly in building high-performance, scalable applications. - Solid experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms (2 years) for application deployment, optimization, and management. - Hands-on experience with MongoDB including schema design, query optimization, and replication. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services. - Strong experience with Git and build tools. - Expertise in modern development practices such as Agile, CI/CD, and test-driven development (TDD). - Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. - Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical interactions. - Ability to manage small teams and provide technical mentorship. Nice to Have : - Exposure to Google Cloud or other cloud platforms. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React.js or Duration : 6 Months (with potential to transition to full-time based on performance) (ref:hirist.tech)
