Senior Test Analyst - Software Quality Assurance

Role Description: As a Senior Test Analyst, you will be a key contributor to our quality assurance efforts. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, developing test cases, and ensuring that our ETL processes and data solutions meet or exceed established standards. Your expertise in Ab Initio and data validation will be essential for delivering high-quality data products. Responsibilities : - Design and execute test plans for ETL processes using Ab Initio. - Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts. - Perform data validation and verification to ensure data accuracy and integrity. - Identify and document defects and discrepancies. - Utilize Ab Initio for ETL testing, including data transformation, data quality checks, and performance testing. - Develop and maintain Ab Initio test components and scripts. - Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and testing. - Perform database testing to ensure data integrity and consistency. - Utilize UNIX commands for data manipulation and testing. - Perform file system operations and log analysis. - Perform testing of ETL processes and data solutions deployed on AWS Cloud services. - Validate data integration and data flow in AWS environments. - Understand and apply data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles. - Validate data models and schemas. - Use defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM) to log, track, and manage defects. - Collaborate with developers to resolve defects. - Understand and implement automation testing frameworks for ETL validation. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts. - Develop and maintain test plans and test strategies. - Execute test cases and document test results. - Collaborate with developers, data architects, and business analysts. - Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Required Skills & Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - 4 years of experience in ETL testing, data validation, or database testing. - Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio for ETL testing. - Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries. - Good understanding and hands-on experience with UNIX commands. - Experience working with AWS Cloud services for ETL processes. - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling. - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM). - Understanding of automation testing frameworks for ETL validation.
