Platform Engineer (IoT & Renewable Energy MLOPS Data Project) Location: Alicante Cloud: Hybrid (Azure & On-Premise) About the Role: We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team and contribute to a cutting-edge IoT & Renewable Energy data project. This role involves working in a hybrid Azure & on-premise environment , focusing on infrastructure automation, SDK development, and cloud-native deployments . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure to help build a scalable and efficient platform supporting IoT sensor data and analytics . Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure & Automation: Provision and manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps . Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring to ensure system reliability and efficiency. SDK Development: Design, build, and maintain Python-based SDKs to streamline data workflows and integrate platform components. Develop reusable libraries to enhance developer productivity and improve system maintainability. Cloud & Kubernetes: Deploy and optimize workloads in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) . Manage containerized applications and ensure high availability in a cloud-native environment. Python Expertise: Develop scalable automation tools and infrastructure components beyond basic scripting. Optimize code for performance and maintainability within the platform ecosystem. IoT & Renewable Energy Focus: Work on data-intensive IoT workloads related to sensor data ingestion, processing, and analytics . Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to enable real-time and batch data processing for renewable energy applications . What We’re Looking For: Strong experience in Python development, with a focus on infrastructure automation and tooling. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps for provisioning and managing infrastructure. Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes , especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) . Background in cloud computing , particularly Azure, and experience in hybrid cloud & on-premise environments.
