Accounting Team Leader (AP & AR) Miejsce pracy: Katowice Your responsibilities Ensure all invoices are properly processed on to the system, costs are allocated to the correct nominal accounts and payments sent out on time with high accuracy levels Ensure all customer invoices are processed, and where factored, are uploaded to the factored systems for advancement Be responsible for monitoring the quality, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness of AP and AR process in Shared Service Center Leading the day-to-day operation of the SSC, prioritizing work and optimizing resources Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship within Interco companies and external suppliers Managing day-to-day team’s issues, flag and mitigate them and manage escalations Ensure credit reviews and insurance are in place for key customers Supporting the team to post purchase invoices and to match supplier invoices to Stock received Supporting the team to ensure all cash allocated to customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner Supporting and consolidation of non-collection of receivables by relevant stakeholders, internal and externals Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations Assisting in projects and ad hoc tasks as needed Reviewing both the AP and AR ledger, aged and debit / credit balances on a weekly basis Identify and address systematic issues that may prevent the on-time payment of invoices with attention on discrepancies on the GR/IR accounts and the various invoice payment blocks. Creating a culture of honest and open communication, facilitating regular opportunities for team communication and delivery of department & business updates Instigating and leading projects that support developments and improvements within the purchase ledger function Ad-hoc duties, as required to support the goals and objectives of the team Supporting the development of team knowledge on processes to ensure the team deliver excellent service Our requirements 5 year of professional experience in Accounting role, preferably gained in SSC/BPO A recognized accountancy, audit or business qualification to degree standard; Previous experience in a leadership/supervisor role Advanced computer skills around Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting software (ie. SAP, IFS) and / or databases, Power BI, RPA; Very good written and verbal English communication skills, additional European languages (German, French, Italian) are a strong plus Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behaviour throughout the organization. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries from the business. Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines. Ability to read, analyse, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Problem solving skills – a strong analytical approach and ability to identify trends, think critically and solve problems using a high degree of intellectual curiosity and good judgement; Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work methodically and with focus; Team player - the ability and willingness to develop skills and provide support to the wider finance team. Work effectively with the team members and the business to build partnerships; A self- starter - passionate about collaborating with others to drive continuous improvement and willing to engage with colleagues to develop practical solutions, taking into account cultural and geographical differences; Innovative - the ability to suggest new processes and procedures and work with end users to improve adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls; Organized and diligent - the ability to prioritize tasks, stay on top of things and work under time pressure in a resource lean environment. Role summary We are looking for the Shared Services Accounting Team Leader (AP & AR) – someone who will have experience of the end-to-end processes within accounts payable and receivable, plus someone who will be comfortable being hands-on leading a small team. They will be a confident communicator, with the ability to liaise with and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels to help resolve queries promptly. The role is located in Katowice, Poland, with ability for business travels to Kotlarnia plant.
