Oracle DB Developer - Database Design & Maintenance

Job Title : Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL & SQL) - Banking Domain Exp : 5-10 Years Location : Chennai immediate to 15days Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer proficient in multiple languages and technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, and EDB-Postgres. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in the banking domain, specializing in writing complex SQL queries, SQL tuning, and Oracle PL/SQL software programming. You will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining database systems in a fast-paced, agile environment. Key Responsibilities : - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for Oracle and EDB-Postgres databases to meet business and technical requirements. - Perform SQL query tuning, including analyzing explain plans and AWR reports to optimize query performance. - Develop and maintain PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and triggers to support various applications within the banking domain. - Apply modern development tools and processes to ensure efficient database design and application performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions using agile software development practices. - Work closely with the business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality database solutions. - Ensure effective RDBMS database design, development, and maintenance in line with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, and provide recommendations for improvements. Required Qualifications : - 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL development. - Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing query performance (using Explain Plan, AWR Report analysis, etc.). - Solid experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming, including stored procedures, triggers, and packages. - Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, including relational data modeling and normalization. - Familiarity with EDB-Postgres and experience with database tuning and optimization techniques. - Experience with Agile software development practices. - Strong understanding of SDLC and its methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in the banking domain or financial services industry. - Knowledge of additional modern database technologies or development frameworks. - Exposure to cloud-based databases or Oracle Cloud technologies.
