Senior Engineer - Commerce Cloud

The Senior Engineer (SAP Commerce Cloud) will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and databases to support and enhance the customer experience for digital commerce projects, including SAP Hybris Commerce and similar technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality, aligning backend systems with business objectives and user needs. The developer will also identify opportunities for improving the performance and scalability of backend services in a fast-paced, global digital commerce environment. As a Senior Engineer / Developer, you will : - Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and databases for digital commerce projects, including SAP Hybris Commerce and similar technologies, using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality. - Support project timelines by identifying and mitigating risks and resolving backend-related bottlenecks. - Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for performance optimization and efficiency. - Utilize data-driven insights to inform architectural decisions and demonstrate the impact of backend development. - Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART : Must-Have Skills & Experience : - Proficiency in digital commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris Commerce/SAP Commerce Cloud (B2C preferred). - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. - Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). - Agile project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Azure DevOps). Education : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g, Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist) are a plus. Nice to Have skills : - Expertise in server-side languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby). - Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Knowledge of RESTful API design and development. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience in the retail industry, particularly within a global context. - Proven track record of collaborating cross-functional technology teams in front-end development or customer experience projects. - Experience in analyzing and mapping customer journeys, and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
