Associate Technical Lead - PowerBI

Position Overview : Position Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Team Leader to lead our team of Power BI Report Engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team meets target deadlines, maintains high-quality work standards, and adheres to set expectations for first pass and peer review rates. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, preferably in a Power BI or data analytics environment. - Strong proficiency in SQL, M Code, Power BI, including report and dashboard development, DAX, and data modeling. - Strong proficiency in Power BI deployment standards and app administration - Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications : - Advanced degree in a related field. - Experience with other data visualization tools and technologies. - Certification in Power BI or related technologies. Key Responsibilities : Leadership and Team Management : - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of highly skilled Power BI Report Engineers. - Set clear performance expectations and ensure team members are held accountable for their deliverables. - Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Project Management : - Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Power BI reports and dashboards. - Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. - Monitor and manage team workload, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Quality Assurance : - Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes for report development. - Ensure high first pass rates and effective peer review processes. - Conduct regular reviews of team outputs to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Technical Expertise : - Provide technical guidance and support to team members on Power BI development. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and Power Automate tools, and industry trends. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Power BI reports. Stakeholder Communication : - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements. - Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. - Ensure stakeholder satisfaction with delivered reports and dashboards.
