Direct Sales Representative

Pay , a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions is looking for a Direct Sales Representative to join their growing team, based in Stellenbosch . The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for step growth in transaction volumes through servicing product specific opportunities effectively, and through the onboarding of new PayGo potential billers. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and proactive individual who takes initiative and sees tasks through to completion. The incumbent is disciplined, persistent and has a reputation of excellent sales and relationship management skills. Responsibilities will include: Build and maintain a strong reputation for sales excellence and relationship management in the field; Grow transaction volumes by servicing existing PayGo billers and ensuring continued engagement; Source and onboard new billers for PayGo; Establish a trusted advisor relationship with key biller stakeholders; Actively engage with billers at markets, expos, and events to promote and sell PayGo solutions; Explore innovative new solutions and collaborate across the business to grow PayGo; Act as the key interface between billers / prospects and departments within Pay; Maintain Pays marketing presence in conjunction with the internal team; Liaise internally to ensure operations pertaining to PayGo billers run smoothly; Track and report key business opportunities, sales analysis and forecasts, solutions and query management. Minimum requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification preferable; 2 - 5 years experience in the sales / payments / financial industry, with referenceable sales and relationship management experience; Experience in outbound sales; Understanding of payments environment would be highly beneficial; Drivers license, and the ability to travel; Fluent in English and a good understanding of Afrikaans.
