Instrument Control Engineering lead

The Control and Instrumentation Engineering Group Leader will be responsible for growing the C&I engineering team that will perform engineering and design to support the projects performed by the company. The group leader will be responsible for quantifying the requirements and establishing term contracts with key clients. The group leader will be responsible for the productivity of the group in terms of finances, contract management, technical integrity, schedule and customer service. The Group Leader will lead by example and ensure his contribution to the group is not only a financial asset but also carries the respect of his members. He will handle each situation in a calm and collected way without prejudice. The position is office based in Secunda. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of B Eng/BSc Eng degree in Electronic/Computer, Process/Chemical or Mechatronic Engineering completed in 4-year full time study. Minimum six years relevant experience. Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer will be an advantage. Prior management experience with be an advantage. Experience in design and engineering of Control and Instrumentation on multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM projects. Candidates should demonstrate their abilities by means of examples. Self-driven. Be able to share by means of examples. Strong leadership and organizational skills, be able to manage the financial wellbeing and morale of the business unit, attend to isolated matters pertaining to individuals, be it work related or personal, manage tools and resources, and optimize the value add to the MegChem business. Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market our services. An affinity to share knowledge and the development of young employees. Dynamic in following the economic and business trends. Organized and self-disciplined. Valid drivers license with own transport.
