Server Side Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing

Job Title : Server-Side QA Engineer Experience Level : 2-4 Years Work Mode : Pune (Work From Office) Notice Period : Immediate joiners Overview : We are looking for an experienced Senior Server-Side QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing server-side applications, a deep understanding of Linux systems, and strong proficiency in Shell scripting and Networking. You will be responsible for ensuring that our middleware systems, APIs, and infrastructure are high-quality, performant, and scalable. Responsibilities : - Server-Side Testing : Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for server-side middleware, applications and networked systems. - Performance Testing : Conduct load, stress, and performance testing on server components and network interfaces to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance. - Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain automated tests and scripts using Shell scripting and/or other tools to streamline testing and increase efficiency. - Linux Systems Expertise : Leverage deep knowledge of Linux for system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting server-side applications. - Networking : Perform network-level testing, simulate network conditions, and diagnose connectivity issues between servers and client applications. - CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing in various stages of development and deployment. - Bug Reporting & Troubleshooting : Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues effectively. - Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Use tools and Shell scripts to monitor system performance, analyze logs, and identify potential issues within server and network layers. - Documentation : Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, results, and reporting, ensuring traceability and full coverage. Requirements : - Experience : 2-4 years in QA or Software Testing, with a focus on server-side applications, APIs, and networking. - Linux Expertise : Extensive experience with Linux-based systems, including troubleshooting, configuration, and running tests in a Linux environment. - Shell Scripting : Strong proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash, etc.) for test automation, system configuration, and task automation. - Networking Skills : Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP etc.) and experience testing network performance and connectivity. - Tools : Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Grafana, Jira or similar tools. - Containerization : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for testing in containerized environments. - Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to report findings and work with cross-functional teams.? - Basic knowledge of C and Core Java language for reviewing code and understanding system-level interactions along with experience with messaging queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ for testing message-driven architectures will be Preferred- (ref:hirist.tech)
